Message from the Alumni Association President
Remember when your friends and family could meet you at the gate at the airport after you returned from a long trip? Well, you can have that feeling again. Mason is waiting at the gate to welcome you home for Homecoming 2012!
Basketball season is under way, and the Alumni Association is busy planning a spectacular Homecoming weekend for you. In fact, I encourage you to book a room at the Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel, which offers some great Homecoming specials, and spend the weekend at Mason.
To kick off the Homecoming festivities, join us for our sixth annual Alumni Beer Tasting on Friday night. Then, on Saturday, warm your hands and grab some lunch at the hospitality tent during the tailgate party. This year, our tent will be large enough to fit the KidZone. Plus, we’ll keep the festivities going with a post-game party at the Mason Inn. So mark your calendars now, and plan to come home to your alma mater in February.

Sixth Annual Alumni Beer Tasting – SOLD OUT
Time: 7–9 p.m.
Location: The Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel, Grand Ballroom A
Join the Alumni Association for one of our most popular events. This year, we host Mad Fox Brewing Company. Enjoy food pairings and door prizes. Space is limited.
Saturday, February 4
14th Annual Alumni Tailgate with Alumni Hospitality Tent
Time: 3–4:30 p.m.
Location: Parking Lot A
While you’re tailgating with your friends, stop by our heated tent for drinks, food, and a spot to get in the spirit of Homecoming. This year’s hospitality tent has grown and will house the KidZone under the same roof.
Menu: Fried Chicken, Gumbo, Mac and Cheese, and Corn Muffins
Law Alumni Pre-Game Reception
2 – 4:30 p.m.
Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel, Junior Ballroom
Law alumni are invited to this special Homecoming reception on the Fairfax Campus. Registration for this event includes beer, wine, and soft drinks, fabulous food and parking at the Mason Inn. A ticket to the basketball game in the law alumni section is also included.
Reception tickets are available online or at the door. Tickets are $30 per adult, $20 for children ages 3-12, and children two or younger are free. Purchase your tickets by January 29 to receive a $5 discount.

Patriots Basketball: Mason vs. Old Dominion University – TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT
Time: 5 p.m.
Location: Patriot Center
Cheer on the Patriots as they battle Old Dominion University for a conference win. Discount tickets are available to those who register for Alumni Association Homecoming events. The alumni code will be available on your registration confirmation page.
Watch Party – NY Mason Alumni Club
Post-game Party
Time: 7:30–9 p.m.
Location: Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel
We’ll continue the festivities in the Mason Inn in the grand ballroom, which will be converted into a Mason Nation sports bar.
Sunday, February 5
Homecoming Brunch at the Mason Inn – Boxwoods Restaurant $10
Time: 9:30–11 a.m.
Finish off your weekend with your friends and family at this festive brunch.
Pre-Registration is closed. You may pay on-site.
Want to stay on campus during the weekend? Book a room for $89/night at The Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel by February 3 and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win a $500 gift card to the Inn and a complimentary suite in 2013.
