#MyMasonMemory Social Media Campaign
What is #MyMasonMemory?
#MyMasonMemory is our annual tradition to promote Homecoming and build spirit among Mason students, faculty, staff, and alumni! Post a photo of a favorite Mason Memory to Instagram and use the hashtag #mymasonmemory24. Then, tag a Mason friend or friends and challenge them to do the same! The goal of this project is to collect as many Mason Memories as possible. At the end of the campaign, we will create a video montage of as many photos as we can from this year’s campaign, and we will show this in a special presentation at the Homecoming men’s basketball game on January 27, 2024.
2024 Contest and Guidelines
Here’s how it works- post your favorite GMU memories on Instagram using #mymasonmemory24 in the caption and tag @masonpatriots and @gmu_pac in your post. Next, tag 2-3 Mason friends and challenge them to do the same! As we all share our memories, our collection will grow and become a virtual scrapbook of all the fun things we have done as the Mason Nation! This “scrapbook” will be turned into a video montage to be shown in a special presentation at the Homecoming men’s basketball game on January 27, 2024.
To add to the fun, 3 participating accounts will be randomly chosen each week to win a Mason Spirit Pack! This challenge will run from Monday, December 11 – Monday, January 22nd. To be entered to win, posts must be made by 5pm on Thursday of the respective week. An account can only win once!

RULES
To be considered for the video montage, and any weekly contests, photos must adhere to the following criteria:
- Posting account must be public, follow @masonpatriots and @gmu_pac, and use #mymasonmemory24 in the caption.
- Posts must tag @masonpatriots and @gmu_pac.
- Must not depict engagement in, or near illegal or illicit activity.
- Must be respectful and kind.
- Must have the implied consent of all persons included in the photo.
- Must not put animals, humans, or other living creatures in harm’s way.
- The committee reserves the right to choose which pictures are included in the halftime montage video.
- By posting using the hashtag and following the accounts, you are giving Student Involvement and PAC permission to use the images/media for future marketing and promotions.
