Mason Homecoming Block Party Tailgating Area
guidelines to follow

This year, the Homecoming Block Party pre-game celebration will include
a designated area for those who wish to tailgate with family and
friends. It will be located in Lot A adjacent to the heated tent and
other homecoming activities.

  • Portable grills (GAS GRILLS PREFERRED). Receptacles will be available
for disposing of coals from grills and trash.

  • Rental Trucks, trailers, and motor homes will not be permitted in the
    Tailgating Area

  • For the safety of all, cars will only be permitted through the entrance
for one hour and vehicles must remain parked until the event is over.

  • The tailgate lot will open at 9:30am and cars will be allowed to enter
    that lot for one hour.

  • The Tailgating Area will close, along with the Block Party activities 30
minutes prior to the start of the game.

  • Fans are responsible for cleaning up their area before leaving. Please
refer to the schedule for event times.

Special Rules Related to Alcohol Consumption

  • Beer and wine will be permitted in Tailgating Area for individuals 21
    and older.

  • Underage drinking laws will be strictly enforced.

  • Only single serving containers in cans or plastic are permitted for
personal consumption only. No glass. Cases, kegs, and other large
    quantity containers are not permitted.

  • Drinking games (ie, beer pong) and rapid consumption devices are not
    permitted.

  • Open alcohol containers outside the official Tailgating Area will be
subject to open container laws, and are prohibited.

  • Have fun and be safe.

Donations

  • As the need for emergency food assistance is growing in our community,
Mason is responding. Please join this effort by bringing non-perishable
foods to donate at the block party. Items most needed are canned proteins
(tuna, salmon, chicken, peanut butter), canned fruits (all kinds), 100% fruit
juices/juice boxes, pastas & sauces, canned vegetables, soups and cereal.
All food will benefit Capital Area Food Bank, our region's largest, public
nonprofit hunger and nutrition education resource. Help us meet the needs of
our neighbors in need! Bring 5 or more items to donate and enter the raffle
for a chance to win Mason gear!
